The beginning of the dry season opens a world of options to enjoy an encounter with the radiant sun, the refreshing breeze, and the crystal-clear waters of Panama’s beaches and rivers, as well as tasting refreshing drinks made with seasonal fruits such as pineapple, orange, lemon, watermelon, and melon.
An adventure that can start as near or as far as the traveler desires. Mine began in the district of Arraiján, a town located 22.4 kilometers west of the province of Panama with a population of approximately 297,000 inhabitants. A succulent breakfast at a local restaurant, complete with corn tortillas and a steaming cup of coffee with milk, was the mandatory stop before heading towards the entrance of the Nuevo Chorrillo community on the Pan-American Highway—the detour that would lead me to my final destination: Los Chorros de Santa Clara.
To reach these picturesque waterfalls of the Paja River, you must travel along the main road of the Nuevo Chorrillo community until connecting with the Nuevo Emperador road, continuing the journey until reaching Santa Clara. The car is left about 10 minutes away from the first waterfall, which is reached through a stone path, small hills, and exuberant vegetation. Appropriate clothing and footwear are highly recommended.
At the first waterfall, the water is crystalline and cold—a perfect combination for a refreshing dip after a journey that is as pleasant as it is exhilarating. It is a beauty and a gift from nature.

Living in Playa Dorada Residences and Beach Club, you can enjoy the diverse fun and entertainment options this project offers. At the same time, you can set up expeditions to explore the tourist sites of the West Panama province, in districts such as La Chorrera, Chame, Capira, and San Carlos—adventures that will certainly fill your agenda during this season of sun and fresh breezes.
Enjoying this landscape, like others offered by this district of West Panama, is within everyone’s reach because there are residential projects that include beach areas. Such is the case with Playa Dorada Residences and Beach Club in Arraiján. It is located on the Pacific Coast, just 30 minutes from downtown Panama City and only 4 km from Westland Mall.
It features approximately one kilometer of spectacular beach, exuberant outdoor life, and endless exclusive amenities that consolidate it as the best option for living or investing in the sector, as West Panama is one of the fastest-growing areas in the country.
There are several ways to reach the project: first, via the Arraiján-La Chorrera Highway, and second, through the Inter-American Highway. These alternatives will soon be joined by the “Vía Costanera” project, which the government will develop in the near future, further facilitating travel to and from Panama City.
